Clarendon Heritage began in 2017 when the Clarendon Historical Society could not take on the donation of an abandonned Chapel in North Clarendon. The Corpwell Foundation stepped up to accept the donation and named the project Clarendon Heritage.

Mission

Our mission is to preserve Clarendon’s History, as well as repurpose buildings that can bring vitality to the community.

Purpose

The purposes of Clarendon Heritage Community Trust:

(1) to preserve and repurpose

(2) to disseminate information about the history of the community through exhibits, educational programs and publications based on the Society’s collections;

(3) to maintain a research library of past and current literature on the history of the community; and

(4) to encourage the preservation of the archeological, historical, and architectural heritage of Clarendon and surroundings.
